About the British Rental Kart Championship

Taking inspiration from the thriving Kart World Championship, the BRKC was devised as
a multi-circuit series using the same philosophy:
low cost, equal equipment, great
racing.

Whilst creating the series, the BRKC organisers were particularly mindful of the need to
keep costs under control. The vision was of a national karting series where drivers could
compete on a totally level playing field without having to spend vast sums of money.

It was imperative that the
British Rental Kart Champion was a driver who truly
possessed the all-round skills required to win races at every track and in every situation -
in the various styles of rental karting across the UK.

With that in mind, the
BRKC includes both long and short, fast and slow, indoor and
outdoor tracks in the calendar - along with different types of kart. The
BRKC
deliberately runs to varying race formats - with some sprint race 'Grand Prix' events, and
other longer 'Iron Man' events all on the calendar.

Because of the varying formats and circuits, the
British Rental Kart Champion has to
have driven well in every situation. Only with this variety can a true
British Rental Kart
Champion
can be crowned.

The
BRKC is a six round championship taking place across some of the UK's best rental
kart tracks, providing its drivers with a fantastic opportunity to showcase their talent in
front of the UK rental kart fraternity -
and even the world - with our champion winning a
prestigious place in
Team GB at the Kart World Championship.

The
Kart World Championship organisers were impressed enough with the BRKC to
award us 'Official World Championship Qualifying Series' status.

The
BRKC aims to provide fantastic racing at the lowest possible cost to competitors, so
all of the championship entry fees are spent on prizes for the competitors (making us an
'
Unincorporated Association').
This is how the BRKC is one of the most cost effective national kart championships in
the UK.
